Motorola Migrate: Transfer Files from Samsung Galaxy to Motorola

Motorola Migrate is developed by Motorola Company. And you can download it freely on both your phones and copy data from Samsung Galaxy to Motorola. It empowers you to transfer Android contacts, SMS, call history, and media files like videos and photos with ease.

Part 1: Transfer Data from Samsung Galaxy to MotoNote: Before starting, download and install Motorola Migrate on Samsung Galaxy and Moto. Connect both phones to Wi-Fi hotspot.
Supported devices: Moto X, Moto G, Moto E, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx and Droid Mini, Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 edge+, LG G4/G3, Sony Xperia Z3/Z5, Nexus 6/6P, Lenovo Phab Plus,etc.
Supported data: contacts, text messages, call logs, photos, music, video, documents, etc.
Step 1 Select Transfer Mode
Run Motorola Migrate app on your Moto phone. Make sure that your phone has been connected to the Wi-Fi hotspot. Next you are required to select your old phone type. Since Samsung Galaxy S6 runs on Android, choose "Android". Then click the button "NEXT" at the lower-right corner and move on.
Step 2 Choose File Types to Transfer
You will have the page "Get your stuff". Hit file types you are intended to transfer, for example, contacts, messages, photos, video, music, and call logs. Then click the button "NEXT".
You will be asked to download Motorola on your old phone. Since you have previously installed Motorola on Samsung phone, click the blue icon "Press here". And then tap the button "NEXT". Then there will be a QR code on the screen of your Moto phone.
Step 3 Set up Connection between Samsung and Motorola
Go to your Samsung Galaxy and run Motorola Migrate app. Then hit the button "NEXT". And hold your Samsung phone over the Motorola screen with the QR code showing in the blue square. The app will connect the two phones and will soon start transferring.
Step 4 Files Migrate from Samsung Galaxy to Motorola
Motorola Migrate is using Wi-Fi to move your stuff, please don't turn it off or change Wi-Fi settings until it is done. And ensure both devices are in close distance.
When files are migrating, there is no need to watch the progress bar. The app keeps transferring while you do other things. When migration succeeds, you will have the screen "You're done!", telling you that files like call logs, text messages, video, photos, etc are completely transferred.
Part 2: Transfer Files from Moto to GalaxyWhen you are going to transfer files from Moto to Galaxy but fails because the QR code doesn't show when making connection, you can use DoTrans.
Supported devices: Android, iPhone, Windows PC
Supported data: contacts, messages, music, photos, audios and videos.
Step 1 Connect Samsung Galaxy and Motorola to Computer
Run DoTrans on your computer. Then connect both phones to the computer with USB cable. Set Motorola as source device and Samsung Galaxy the destination phone.
Step 2 Select File Types to Transfer
When both phones are connected to the computer, check whether they are seated at the right places. If not, you can select the target phone in the top drop-down menu, After that, you can select file types to copy, for example, contacts, messages, photos, and music.
Step 3 Copy Data from Moto to Galaxy
After that, click "Export to Device">Samsung Galaxy's name. The program will copy and paste files from Motorola to Samsung Galaxy. When it's done, you can click the button "OK" to end the process.
