How to Restore Deleted Photos/Videos from Android in Black Screen

"Hi, I just wonder if anyone can help me on this. I just updated my Android phone, more specifically Samsung Galaxy S5 to Android 6.0, but there is a black screen bug that starts occurring after taking pictures/videos with Camera. At first this blank screen problem can be fixed once I rebooted my device. However, it doesn’t work anymore now! My phone is stuck in black screen and probably I have to factory reset the Samsung phone. But the photos and videos is all I have and I need to restore them from the device. Tell me how to do please!"

Recover Deleted Pictures/Videos from Android in Black Screen

Step 1 Run the Program on PC/Mac

Launch Android Data Extraction after downloading, then connect the Samsung device to PC. You will see the below interface, and then locate "Data Extraction (Damaged Device)" and click it.

Step 2 Select File Types
The file types supported to be restored are all listed in the following interface. Choose "Gallery" and "Videos" and leave the others uncheck. Click on "Next" to move on.

Step 3 Select Broken Type and Device Model
Choose the phone fault type between "Touch screen cannot be touch" or "Black screen".

Now select the name and model for your broken phone. If you are note sure the device model, use "How to confirm the device model" to check it.

Step 4 Enter Download Mode
Follow the three steps to get into download mode: Power off your device > Press and hold the Volume down, Home and Power button > Press the Volume up button to enter the Download mode.

Step 5 Analyze Broken Device
The program will start to download recovery package once you entered the Download mode. After that, the selected data stored in the device will be scanned out.

Note: Have trouble with this step? If you fail to finish the analyzing and scanning process somehow, here is how to fix it: click on "Exit download mode" to get back to the home page first and then go to "Fix my bricked phone" to try again.

Step 6 Preview and Recover Photos/Videos
After scanning, all files found will be displayed on the below interface. Preview and select the items you’d like to recover, and then go to "Recover" button to save them on computer.

Avoiding this disaster in the future
1.Get in the habit of copying Android data to your PC as often as possible – even when you’re on vacation.
2.If you’re using an Android phone, remember to save photos/videos to the SD card.
3.Download and get an Android Data Extraction program on PC in case of unexpected accident.
