There are various causes that may lead to USB device not recognized error or USB not working problem. Now, just follow the tips to troubleshoot the issue.Solution 1 The first thing you should do is to try another USB port and make sure the USB port works normally(maybe you can try to plug the other device into your computer and check if it can be recognized).
Solution 2 Enter "devmgmt.msc" on the search bar to open Device Manager. Under the "Portable Devices", check if you can see an item displayed as "Unknown Device". If you can see the item, please right-click on it and choose "Properties > Driver > Update Driver" to update Driver.
Solution 3 Try to open Device Manager again and go to "Universal Serial Bus Controllers > USB Root Hub" and right-click on it to choose "Properties". Click on the "Power Management" menu and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" item.
Solution 4 On the Device Manager windows, go to "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" and uninstall the items with exclamation points(!) or the ones which are listed as Unknown Device. Then restart it. But please note that it may sometimes doesn't work or turns out to the fact that no USB port is working. You must be cautious about this solution.
