Solution to Fix PowerPoint Crashing/Frozen Issue

Following I list some tricks that are test to be workable to fix PowerPoint not responding problem. Please have a try on your own.1. Make sure that PowerPoint is not in use by another process.
2. Install the latest Office updates as well as the Windows updates.
3. Try to disable the installed add-ins when using PowerPoint. To do this, please type "PowerPoint /safe" on the search bar of your computer. Then launch PowerPoint and go to "File > Options > Add-Ins". Now, please select "COM Add-ins", and then click "Go". Disable the Add-ins in the list and click on the "OK" button. Then restart PowerPoint to see if the problem goes away.
4. Try to repair your Office programs. To do this, please firstly close any Microsoft Office applications on the background. Now, launch "Control Panel" and go to "Programs and Features". From the installed applications, right-click your version of Microsoft Office. Then choose "Change > Repair".
Part 2: Recover Lost PowerPoint Document Files
To recover lost or unsaved PowerPoint document files, you are recommended to use Data Recovery program, which is an effective recovery tool that is good at recovery lost, deleted or unsaved document files in several simple clicks. First of all, please download and install the Data Recovery tool on your computer.Step 1 Launch Data Recovery And Select "Document"
After the installing, please launch it on your computer. On the interface, please select "Document" option and click on the "Next" button.
Step 2 Select A Location
Now, please choose a location that your PowerPoint document files are stored and click on the "Start" button. The program would automatically scan the selected location looking for the document files. If you are not able to see the wanted data, please change to "Deep Scan" mode to try again.
Step 3 Recover PowerPoint Lost Document Files
After the scanning process, you are allowed to preview the files. Then please click on the "Recover" button and you can get the lost PowerPoint document files back on your computer.
