Steps to Recover Galaxy Nexus Lost Pictures and Videos

3. For Android 2.3 or earlier: Enter "Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging".

Select those file types that you want to recover. Considering our issue here, "Gallery" and "Videos" are to be chosen. If you'd like to regain those photos of WhatsApp, the corresponding item, "WhatsApp messages & attachments" should be ticked.
